While still working with the Philippine Ports Authority-Zamboanga, I remember if I get it right that sometime in the last quarter of the year 2002, the PPA General Manager, Alfonso Cusi issued an appeal challenging Port Managers as well as Port District Managers to transform the ports under their jurisdiction in to a pleasant place for business transaction.
In so doing, the General Manager was expecting every soul working in PPA to go beyond the usual way of managing and administering the ports. There was a need therefore to add more value and quality in what every employee is doing.
