The City Council on Thursday passed a resolution inviting the officer-in-charge of the Western Mindanao State University and the Board of Regents to its regular session next week to shed light on the 90-day preventive suspension of Dr. Grace J. Rebollos as university president.

Mayor Celso Lobregat yesterday afternoon turned over financial assistance to victims of the explosion outside the Air Materiel Wing and Savings Loan Association Inc. (AMWSLAI) building fronting the Edwin Andrews Air Base in Sta. Maria in addition to the medical and other help that the city government earlier provided.

The National Transmission Corporation said it has fully restored power supply in Southeastern Mindanao at 11:48  yesterday morning, after it was cut-off at 9:31 due to bomb attack. The power firm said the temporary loss of power supply was caused by the toppling of tower No. 50 of the Agus-Kibawe 138 kilovolt transmission line Nos. 1 and 2.
