Barring possibility of a Supreme Court ruling that would favor the petition of North Cotabato provincial government executives to stop the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between the MILF and the government on the issue of ancestral domain, the expectation is that the MOA will be signed on early next month.  The draft of MOA on AD is kept from the prying eyes of the local government officials of Mindanao which will expand the present autonomous region by a little over 700 barangays.  As in the past, the affected barangays will still have to be consulted through a plebiscite whether or not they favor their inclusion in the proposed Bangsamoro Juridical Entity.

As the new chairman of the City Council’s Committee on Infrastructure, District 2 Councilor Eduardo Saavedra has been tasked by Mayor Celso Lobregat to go over all infrastructure projects that are due for biddings and for implementation.

Traffic at the national highway in barangay Victoria has been temporarily resolved with the establishment of a diversion road midnight Tuesday, some 12 hours after the concrete road collapsed paralyzing traffic.
