Barangay officials and residents of Recodo give credit to Cong. Beng Climaco for the elevation of the status of the Recodo High School into a national status through the enactment of Republic Act 9581.

In her first term in office, Climaco authored at least 3 bills which are now laws establishing national high schools in Capisan, Recodo and Sinubong as part of her contribution to the education sector.

As national high schools, the Recodo National High School as well as Capisan and Sinubong national high schools are subsidized by the national government through the Department of Education.

Boy Aminullah, barangay chairman of Recodo said Cong. Climaco, who is seeking re-election as representative of District I, has done a great job for the youths and the entire residents of Recodo during her first 3 years in office.

?Si Ma?am Beng sincero na su deseo para ayuda maga residente na Distrito uno, especialmente aqui na Recodo (Ma?am Beng is very sincere in her desire to help the constituents of District I especially the residents of Recodo)?, Aminullah said.

Climaco together with Mayor Celso Lobregat, Vice Mayoralty aspirant Cesar Iturralde and the council aspirants of the Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino-Adelante Zamboanga party under District I barnstormed barangay Recodo Monday. A jampacked rally capped the campaign sortie at night time.

?Porke pa kame suporta na otro que nosabe kita cosa el puede ase para el Recodo, con Ma?am Beng ya kame kay ya pruba ya kita di suyo trabajo? (Why should we support the other candidate whose programs for Recodo is not assured, we will support Ma?am Beng because she has proven her worth as our representative), an old lady resident of Recodo said.

The Recodo National High School started operation last year with students utilizing the REcodo Elementary School building. Starting June, the students can already utilize their brand new 2 two-storey 8 classroom buildings constructed courtesy of the city government under Mayor Lobregat.

Climaco said the education of the youths is part of her priority programs for it blends well with her advocacy ?let us help make our children?s future a reality today?.

The creation of the Recodo National High School is only one of the many projects and programs accomplished by Cong. Climaco during her first term in Congress. Her accomplished infrastructure projects alone reached over P766 million from 2007-2009.
