In disgust of the present administration, Zamboangue?o artists performing nationwide are strongly endorsing the candidacy of mayoralty aspirant Mannix Dalipe and the other members of the Nationalist Peoples Coalition (NPC).

Armarie Cruz of the first Filipino Idol, DJ Basted and Poy of Talentadong Pinoy called on the voters to support Dalipe in his bid for the mayoralty post this May 10, 2010 elections.

In the NPC rally held Saturday night at the Guiwan barangay hall, the three local artists announced their disgust against Mayor Celso Lobregat who never lifted a finger in support of their attempt to make it good in their respective nationwide competitions.

?Hinde man kame ta pidi sen cunele. What we were asking from the mayor was to support our cause in the competition but the mayor only said he will try to help,? Cruz said.

While other officials in other cities and provinces extend their support to their artists, Lobregat only promises to help but in the end, the promise was never fulfilled, Cruz emphasized.

Throngs of residents and supporters also acknowledged the sentiments of the artists.

?Cambia ya kita cuneste presente administration. Si mannix Dalipe ay puede gayot ayuda canaton todo. El eleccion ta aserca ya. Este ya el tiempo para usa el diaton cabesa enbuenamente,? Cruz said.

She said the fate of Lobregat lies in the hands of the voters.

?If you choose Mannix, many of our problems will be solved like what he promised to install surveillance cameras to help the police, provide a simple loan to the Zamboanga City Water District to help cushion the increase of the water rate and many others. Choose Lobregat then we will continue to suffer for another three years? Cruz stressed.

Meanwhile, Dalipe was very happy with the support and endorsement of the artists. ?This just shows that the present administration is all talk and no action. This is also a very clear indication that the present administration does not really have a big heart for the Zamboanguenos,? Dalipe said.

He said he is not surprised with the revelation of the artists saying ?Hinde man le verdadero de Zamboanga, dol tan negosyo lang se aki, if that guy will lose in the coming elections, you will never see even his a shadow again here in our city. That is why he does not care if our local artists will be successful or not. Nuay gayot corazon para na maga Zamboangue?o kay entero pamilya disuyo talla na Manila.?

Dalipe has been continuously receiving endorsements from various groups and personalities in the city.
