A businesswoman engaged in money lending lost P70,000 to two motorcycle riding gunmen along Sevilla St. last Wednesday afternoon.
Emilia Cua y Mortera, 55, married, of Pasonanca, told the police that the robbery took place around 4:30 p.m. while she was collecting dues from jeepney drivers.
Police said Cua was sitting aboard a jeepney parked along the road and waiting for her clients to pay their dues, when two men aboard a motorcycle arrived. The backrider alighted from the motorcycle and announced a holdup at gunpoint.
Cua said the holduppers took her P70,000 and two cellular phones then hurriedly left the place. She rushed to the police station and filed a complaint.
Cua did not recognize the holduppers as it was her first time to see them.
The police’s Criminal and Investigation Section conducted follow-up operations for the immediate arrest of the holduppers.
