Men of the Sta. Maria Police Station under Chief Insp. Felix Martinez confiscated a 12-gauge home-made shotgun from a resident of Upper Cabatangan who was threatening to kill his neighbor last Sunday night.
A police report disclosed that Danilo Mustero, 50, of Upper Cabatangan reported to the police that Antonio Atilano was armed with a shotgun and was harassing and threatening him and his girlfriend, Ermelina.
Acting on the complaint, policemen swooped down on Upper Cabatangan, where two men identified as Jaymar Dela Merced and Jerry Mustero turned over to them the shotgun of Atilano.
Police said the two men managed to disarm Atilano while he was in the said place. The latter however escaped before the police arrived.
Police said that Atilano was courting the sister of Ermelina, but her parents do not favor him.
Atilano became frustrated, went berserk and threatened Mustero and Ermelina.
