The 50-round blockbuster card of Blue Stallion Promotions and EBAF Productions is all systems go for Oct. 10, 2010 at the Zamboanga City Coliseum.
This was formally announced by Congressman Erico Basilio “Erbie” A. Fabian who said the fight will be moved from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. of the same day.
Fabian also announced tickets will go on sale by next week in selected outlets in the city.
Dubbed as “The last Hurrah”, it will feature 2-time world Bantanweight kingpin Gerry Penalosa who climbs the ring for the last time to battle Thai #1 Bantanweight Yodsaenkeng Kiatmungmee.
Cong. Fabian said that tickets will be at popular prices ranging from 100 pesos for bleachers, 200 pesos for box seats and 300 pesos for ringside seats.
Also in the card are WBO champions in Lightweight JimRex Jaca, and featherweight Michael Farinas who battle Koreans in Jong Yoon Choi and Ung Hon Kim.
Local boy Marvin Mabait, undefeated in all of his professional bouts gun for the MPBF Super Flyweight crown against Rodel Veronque.
While another native Zamboangueno Kid Ventual battle Brobro Lanquido in the flyweight class.
Proceeds from the boxing extravaganza will go to the Philippine National Red Cross local chapter’s blood bank rehabilitation.
