Operatives of the Detective Management Unit under City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo arrested two men wanted by the law last Friday.
De Ocampo identified the wanted men as Rodel Legara y Nascion of Caragasan, Maasin and Frederick Midel of Tumaga.
Legara was nabbed at his residence around 9 a.m.
A police report disclosed that Legara was arrested on the strength of a warrant for violation of Section 5 paragraph E(2) of the Republic Act 9262 otherwise known as anti violence against women and children law with case number 25088.
The warrant was issued by Judge Peter Eisma of the Regional Trial Court Branch 15 dated August 31, 2010. The court recommended P24,000 for his temporary liberty.
Midel was nabbed at Southway Square Mall around 2:30 p.m. He had been wanted for violation of Section 10, (A) article VI of Republic Act 7610 otherwise known as the special protection of children against child abuse, exploitation and discrimination law with case number 25097.
The court recommended P80,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty.
De Ocampo said that while at the police station, the arresting team found out that Midel has another pending case of attempted arson with case number 18779.
Both wanted men were detained pending their turnover to the Zamboanga City Reformatory Center.
