Making more of her advocacies a reality is the foremost wish of District I Congresswoman Beng Climaco, as she celebrates her birthday today, September 7.
Instead of throwing out a party for her special day, the lady solon, who is the House Deputy Speaker for Mindanao, will be attending the congressional session as usual. As a tradition, she will be spending time with the children inmates at the City Reformatory Center, as a belated birthday celebration on or before weekend.
The congresswoman’s advocacies include the protection of children and women, education, health, environment, juvenile justice, social services and a lot more.
A better future for the children is the epicenter of her advocacies with her slogan “Let us help make the future of our children a reality today”. Quality education, good health and better social services are some of the primary programs that are set in place to ensure the realization of a better future for Zamboangueño children.
Just recently, Cong. Climaco signed a memorandum of agreement with the
Philippine Daily Inquirer for the establishment of Inquirer Learning Corners in 10 national high schools in the city to enhance learning and promote reading habits among students in different schools.
“Literacy is a very important issue we have to address”, the lady solon said stressing that through quality education will make students better and productive citizens.
To also help improve quality education, the lady solon engages in various other programs including the construction of school as well as health facilities, concreting of roads and many others.
“We hope to make more our advocacies a reality”, the lady solon added.
