BATAS INTERNET TV RESUMES 24/7 BROADCAST: By the grace of God, we are pleased to announce that BATAS INTERNET TV has now resumed broadcasting 24 hours daily, seven days a week, through the Internet website www.batasmedia.com.
Acel Famadico, the technical department head of BATAS INTERNET TV, disclosed that Filipinos anywhere in the Philippines and anywhere in the whole world where there is Internet connection can now log on to www.batasmedia.com, and watch the TV shows and productions being aired regularly, and non-stop.
For those whose laptops or personal computers are video-capable, BATAS INTERNET TV automatically and immediately plays when they log on to www.batasmedia.com, Famadico added. For those with laptops and personal computers that are not video-capable, they can still listen to the broadcast, by clicking the icon depicting a radio set.
VOLUNTEER REPORTERS, COMMENTATORS AND VIDEO MATERIALS WELCOME: Famadico also said BATAS INTERNET TV is now ready to accept any video or audio material for airing or broadcasting, and any person or group which has these materials and is willing to air them through the Internet can simply send the video or audio material to the Facebook account of lawyer Melanio Mauricio Jr., or to his email, batasmauricio@yahoo.com.
BATAS INTERNET TV will immediately air these materials as far as practicable, Famadico added, subject only to the “first come, first served” rule---meaning that those that are received ahead will be played ahead.
Finally, BATAS INTERNET TV is also interested to air reports, comments or other news materials coming from anywhere in the Philippines or anywhere in the world. Live reports can be coursed through Skype, Famadico added, saying that the contact name of BATAS INTERNET TV is batasradio, or through cellular phone, through the number 0922 833 43 96.
“REPEAL CRIMINAL LIBEL LAW, NOW”: A group led by lawyer-journalist Bertini Cataluna Causing, simply Toto to close friends, is inviting interested parties to sign a petition in the Internet for the repeal of the Revised Penal Code provisions on libel, to decriminalize libel and make it a purely civil case.
The on-line petition, called as “Repeal Criminal Libel Law, Now”, is addressed to Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, Sen. Gregorio Honasan, who is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Information and Mass Media and all committee members; Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Senate Pro-Tempore; Senator Vicente Sotto III, Senate Majority Floor Leader and Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, Senate Minority Floor Leader.
It is also addressed to Speaker Feliciano Belmonte; Rep. Ben P. Evardone, Easter Samar, House Committee on Public Information; Rep. Rodante D. Marcoleta, Committee Vice Chair; and Rep. Rachel Marguerite B. Del Mar, Committee Vice Chair. The other members of the House Committee on Public Information were also named in the petition.
