A 38-year-old man was stabbed and wounded by his cousin in Barangay Patalon last Sunday afternoon.

Police identified the victim as Jerry Catajusan y Rosales, married. He was stabbed by Ronny Escultor, 31, of Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte.

A police report disclosed that Catajusan and Escultor engaged in a heated argument due to a simple misunderstanding. Escultor grabbed a blade weapon and stabbed Catajusan in the abdomen.

The victim was taken to the Labuan Public Hospital and later was transferred to the Zamboanga City Medical Center.

Escultor surrendered to the police after the incident and was detained pending the filing of charges against him.
