For two days starting next month the Catholic Zamboanguenos will be solemnly celebrating All Saints' Day and the Feast of All Souls' Day in respect to their departed.
It is expected that many will flock to the tombs and the cemeteries in the city will be filled with people carrying candles and food among other things.
Every year, just like in Manila and other big cities of the country, everytime these said festivity is celebrated the city experiences heavy flow of traffic and major roads become congested thus a need for control from the local Philippine National Police and Task Force Zamboanga is very much in need.
In our interview with Sr. Supt. Edwin de Ocampo, he said that not only the police department are ready for the coming event but as well as other stakeholders of the city.
The PNP as spearheaded by the City Police Chief, together with his top city officials in every barangay, and in close coordination with Task Force Zamboanga, had a meeting yesterday, October 29. Discussed in the meeting were traffic re-routing and the security not only of those people celebrating the event but equally all vital installation of the city.
