EDUCATION IS A RIGHT. AN ALIENABLE RIGHT. EACH AND EVERY INDIVIDAUL HAS THE RIGHT TO PORSUE HIGH LEVEL OF EDUCATION. THE GOVERNMENT UNDER THE CONSTITUTION IS MANDATED TO PROMOTE, PROVIDE, SUPPORT AND DEVELOP THIS VITAL RIGHT.MR. AQUINO, SHOULD REALISED HIS RESPONSILIBILTY TO EDUCATION. HIS ADMINISTRATION SHOULD GIVE PRIORITY TO EDUCATION, IF CARES ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THE REPUBLIC. BECOUSE THE STATE/SUCCESS OF THE REPUBLIC TO GREATER DEGREE DEPENDS ON THE EDUCATIONAL SUCCESS OF IT'S CITIZENRY. UNFORTUNATELY, MR. AQUINO IS SHORTSIGHTED ON THIS VITAL SECTOR/ISSUE AT HAND, CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT, FOR THE 2011 BUDGET, INSTEAD OF INCREASING THE ALLOCATION BUDGET FOR EDUCATION HE DECREASED. WHY MR. PRESIDENT? ARE YOU THAT INSENSITIVE TO EDUCATIONA NEEDS OF THE STUDENT POPULACE? OR YOU ARE JUST FOLOWING THE RECOMMENDATION OF YOUR ADVISER'S? PLEASE DONT EXPECT THE SUPPORT OF THE STUDENT POPULACE COME NEXT NATIONAL ELCTION. I QUARANTTY THAT. UNLESS YOU SHOW SUPPORT TO EDUCATION, NOT BEFORE NEAR ELECTION TIME. CONGRESS, YOU NEED TO PASS A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING EDUCATION FOR ALL NOT ONLY FOR THE PREVELGE FEW. FREE EDUCATION ELEMENTARY TO HIGH SCHOOL..........

Education we shall talk.
We can argue all day long that not everyone will be able to realize an affordable and quality public or private education, we can at least agree that a significant number of our fellow Filipinos have achieved a world class education. In fact, the 2000 census put us at about 92% literacy rate (15 years old and over can read and write). Not too bad! Let's just assume half of that number are really rocket scientist materials, that is still a potent pool of educated population. I think what we failed as a nation was to harness the capabilities of these learned ones towards a national goal of sustainable productiveness and economic prosperity. For argument sake, let's look at personnel in our public institutions including the academia. We can consider the private sector but the public sector is fair game because they sustain from our tax money. Survey the composition of these government offices and find out how many of them have advanced education courtesy of our national treasury. I believe NEDA has a good database of these people. A good number of these public servants were educated overseas in world class schools. The question now is what did Juan dela Cruz benefit from them. I know it was beneficial for them because advanced education afforded them vertical mobility throughout their career. You see, this is only one example in the big scheme of things that it is really not the lack of education that is our problem as you seem to suggest. Rather our leadership, old and new, has failed to put to effective use of the educated ones our system has produced. And for curiosity sake, why in the world did President B. Aquino III appointed a Catholic clergy as a Secretary of Education?

THE QUESTION IS NOT THE EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT OF THE PILIPINO POPUPLACE, PAST AND PRESENT. BUT, THE SUPPORT OF THIS CURRENT ADMINISTRATION TO EDUCATIONAL DEVEOPMENT FOR THE FUTURE. WHICH SEEM INSUFFECIENT, EVEN DEGRADED. MONATARY SUPPORT WISE, AGAIN, LET ME IMPHASIZED, MR. AQUINO CUT THE ALLOCATION FOR EDUCATION FOR THE YEAR 2011. AND OUT OF THE BLUE HE NOMENATED A CATHALIC CLERGY AS SECRETARY OF EDUCATION. WHO IS, IF I REMEMBER RIGHT, HIS PRATERNITY BROTHER, WHO IS ALSO A GOOD FRIEND OF SENATOR ANGARA, THE CHAIRMAN OF CA. PROBABLY THERE IS A STRING ATTACHED TO IT. FORTUNATELY, THE SENATE COMMESION OF APPOINTMENT REJECTED HIS APPOINTMENT... THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD CONTINUE TO SUPPORT EDUCATION, REGARDLESS THE ACHIEVEMENT OR THE LACK THERE OF. HOW WOULD YOU SUGGEST FOR THE GOVERMENT TO UTILIZED THE CREAM OF THE CRAP, THE SCHOLARLY MIND, THE EDUCATED, THAT IT PRODUCED?
