DAVAO CITY — The city government here honored the 10 most outstanding business taxpayers, 10 most outstanding real property taxpayers and 33 commendable city government employees in a simple ceremony held on Monday at the newly-renovated stage at Rizal Park in this city.
Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio personally honored the taxpayers and employees during the opening of the three-day Araw ng Dabaw festival celebration from March 14-16.
Duterte-Carpio said the award was a thanksgiving to all Dabawenyos by recognizing the top contributors to the city's economy.
The 10 most outstanding business taxpayers were Davao Light and Power Company, Mindanao Shopping Destination Corp., DSG Sons Group, Inc., Holcim Philippines, Sumifru (Philippines) Corp., Supervalue, Inc., Nestle Philippines, Zuellig Pharma Corp., Stanfilco (a Division of Dole Philippines), Inc. and Felcris Supermarket, Inc.
The 10 most outstanding real property taxpayers were Davao Union Cement Corp., Halifax Davao Hotel, Inc., SM Prime Holdings, Inc., New City Commercial Center, DSG Sons Group, Inc., AJMR Port Services Corp., Dynasty Management and Development Corp., Mindanao Corrugated Fibreroad, Inc., Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company and Craft Haven International Services, Inc.
The 33 employees of the city government also received citations for being commendable personnel. They received a plaque and P3,000 bonus from the city government. They were (second level representative awardees) Elizabeth Escuadro, Mary Frances Resma, Corazon Lorzano, Paz Ibarra, Shirley Arendain, Tessie Calimpong, Melagros Nakahara, Virginia Bautista, Nestor Ong, Dr. Clarita Tellano, Anita Monteclavo and Christian Cambaya. While the first level representative awardees were Floreza Par, Heldee Pamisa, Danilo Celades, Ma. Theresa Bentilanon, Otto Manreal, Alberto Baltazar, Julie Dayaday, Ester Balangue, Marila Ederosas, Meriam Dingal and James Villaceran.
The job orders and contractual workers who were commended were Sherry Marie Solidarios, Filela Aliermo, Segundina Gertos, Mabel Grace Ravina, Julio Abestros, Rodolfo Panao, Mary Joy Sarillana, Lea Palpal-Latoc, Pilar Galimbas and Joseph Griar. (PNA)
