There's always something bittersweet, in any sport, about watching a team celebrate a win in a game that saw a player go down with an injury. Even when it's the type of injury in which the player is able to leave the game on his own power, concerns over the ramifications of a potential injury can overshadow the short-term glee.
We bring this up, of course, because Marian Gaborik's overtime win against the Bruins Saturday came just minutes after Ryan McDonagh left the game following a suspendable hit by Andrew Ference. (Ference would get a five-minute charging major, and the Rangers scored a power play goal to win the game.
For Rangers fans unfamiliar with the term, scoring a "power play goal" is this thing teams sometimes do when the opponent is down a man. They're scheduled to score another in two weeks, so keep an eye out.)
