MANILA Philippine shares ended morning trade in the red, declining by 0.89 percent or 43.03 points to 4,773.30 on profit-taking and renewed fears on Greek debt woes.
Early loss was seen in stocks ALI, TEL, SMPH, BPI, MBT.
Volume traded stood at 3.09 billion valued at 3.19 billion.
Most of the subindices except Holding Firms, succumbed to the downtrend.
Holding firms rose 13.02 points or 0.33 percent.
Property dipped 46.44 points or 2.69 percent.
Mining and Oil and Services shed 356.30 or 1.37 percent and 22.37 or 1.26, respectively.
Broader all shares also went down by 0.60 percent or 19.71 points at 3,224.54. (PNA)
