DIPOLOG CITY Key officials of the Department of Health-Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD)-IX headed by Regional Dir. Aristides Tan are now here for a two-day consultative meeting with hospital administrators and implementing agencies on the blood program and Blood Service Facilities (BSF) in the region.
Tan said this gathering would discuss the issues and concerns involving the blood program to come up with appropriate measures to ensure enough supply of clean and safe blood for the patients in the area.
DOH staff also provided the participants with some updates and accomplishments of the BSF as well as the new policies concerning the blood program.
Criteria for the National Sandugo Awards for Outstanding Local Government Executives were also discussed in said gathering.
Sandugo award is for local chief executives who have shown strong support to the bloodletting campaign of the DOH in collaboration with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
