May 22, the United States and the Association of Southeast Asian
Nations (ASEAN) representatives met at the 25th ASEAN-U.S. Dialogue at
the Sofitel Hotel in Manila to exchange views on regional and
international developments and discuss ways to advance cooperation
across ASEAN's political-security, economic, and socio-cultural
communities.

Joint
Council of the ASEAN-China Centre Launched to Enhance ASEAN-China
Relations.
The inaugural meeting of the Joint Council of the ASEAN-China Centre
concluded last week at the ASEAN-China Centre in Beijing. The Joint
Council, comprised of ASEAN Member States representatives, China, and
the ASEAN Secretariat, approved a number of key documents to facilitate
